Reaseheath dressage, jumping & XC Demonstration

Last week we did a demonstration for Martin Collins at Reaseheath College. Richard rode Aliano to explain our basic training principles and then worked with young grand prix rider Booby Hayler from Essex and Gilian with Alfranco.The second session involved Tom working together with Joe Clayton, Michael Whitaker’s stable jockey. They demonstrated how to introduce grid work with a 6 year old home bred. This included a bounce and varying distances. The second horse Joe jumped was an 8 year old and the session focused on developing a riders ring craft to improve the horse and riders jumping rounds whilst in the competition ring.Olympic rider representing China, Alex Hua Tian, rounded up the demo with a number of exercises he uses to improve his horses cross country rounds.
